Off to School They Go!

Today the boys are another year older, another grade higher! Justin is officially a 4th grader and Austin is officially a 2nd grader! It was the first year I didn't walk either one of them in! They both wanted to walk in by themselves. So I didn't even take them! Ashlyn was still asleep so Jeremy took them. I feel a little like I missed out on something. But really how much can I miss out on if they were just being dropped off at the front of the school? They grow up so fast! It seems just like the other day when they were both at home neither one of them were old enough to go to school yet and they were driving me crazy!! A lot like this summer. lol I have learned a lot from these boys, and they have made me grow and stretch beyond what I ever thought possible. Thanks to Justin I have 20 times more patience than I had before, and it still doesn't seem enough sometimes. And thanks to Austin he made me realize that boys can be fun. Not to say that Justin isn't fun, but he puts a lot of challenges out there for me so it takes a while longer to get to the fun with him. They are both such handsome boys and I'm proud of the accomplishments each one has made. They are both so smart and amaze me all the time! As a SAHM I'm am so excited about the first day of school but at the same time I'm going to miss the sweet hugs and "I love you" 's from Justin and I'm going to miss seeing Austin stay so busy and come up with so many fun ideas to play outside. It has been fun watching them grow and change and learn new things everyday. But for the most part, I am relieved they are at school and the amount of time-out's, spankings and groundings shrink. I think that every summer the boys alone add 5 more years to my age. And now that I think about it, I think I'm going to have a party today! Woo Hoo!! They are off to school!!!
